BRUCE DENNLA - LOCKED-DOWN DENNLA INSTALLATION IN SAND OR STIFF CLAY.
- Receive chaser pendant from MODU crane line and secure pendant in shark's jaw.
- Disconnect MODU crane line from chaser pendant and connect 1st work-wire to chaser pendant.
- Haul in on 1st work-wire until load is off shark's jaw and then lower shark's jaw.
- MODU winch pays out anchor line until anchor is lowered from bolster bar and anchor shackle is in contact with bolster bar. This is facilitated by monitoring the position of a mark on the anchor line at the MODU winch.
- Haul in 1st work-wire to seat chaser on chaser stopper and pull anchor away from bolster bar as MODU winch pays out anchor line. The MODU winch continues to pay out anchor line as 1st work-wire is hauled in so that the chaser pendant comes on deck.
- When chaser chain appears on stern roller, veer boat to bring anchor line parallel with roller before chaser reaches roller to ensure that chaser traverses roller smoothly on its side.
- As anchor comes over the roller (with the shank pivot pin at the forward end of the fluke central plate slot), veer the boat to keep the anchor line clear of the anchor.
- Haul in on 1st work-wire to bring the anchor up deck and veer boat to bring the anchor line over the shark's jaw.
- Raise shark's jaw and pay out 1st work-wire until anchor line is held in shark's jaw then stop 1st work-wire.
- Install lock-down pin in lock-down pin hole at forward edges of shank clevis.
- Install shear pin in shear pin hole in anchor shank nearest to the shank pin.
- Pass tugger slip line through anchor shackle.
- Haul in on 1st work-wire to take load in anchor line and then lower shark's jaw.
- Veer boat to bring anchor line alongside anchor fluke central plate.
- Pay out 1st work-wire and tugger slip line simultaneously to bring anchor onto roller.
- As anchor starts to topple over roller, reduce pay out speed of 1st work-wire to allow weight of anchor to straighten out the connection between stopper and anchor then stop all paying out.
- With anchor weight taken by 1st work-wire, slip tugger line off anchor shackle.
- Pay out 1st work-wire to lower anchor over roller and bring chaser onto roller on its side.
- Veer boat to hold chaser on its side for smooth passage over the roller and stop 1st work-wire when chaser chain is on roller.
- Veer boat to bring chaser chain over shark's jaw.
- Raise shark's jaw.
- Pay out on 1st work-wire to take pendant load on shark's jaw and stop hauling on 1st work-wire.
- As MODU winch continues to pay out anchor line, increase boat power to pull the required length of anchor line out from the MODU fairleader.
- When boat reaches anchor drop point, reduce boat power and haul in on 1st work-wire to take load off shark's jaw.
- Lower shark's jaw.
- Pay out 1st work-wire so that work-wire length plus chaser pendant equals 1. 1 times water depth to set anchor on seabed. The chaser stopper being held seated in the chaser maintains the anchor pointing towards the MODU at touch-down and the residual tension in the anchor line causes the anchor fluke to penetrate the seabed.
- The MODU winch now hauls in anchor line to give about 20mt tension at the anchor.
- Turn boat about and proceed to tow the chaser off the chaser stopper and back to the MODU.
- At MODU, turn boat about and haul in on 1st work-wire until chaser pendant connection comes on deck.
- Veer boat to bring chaser pendant over shark's jaw.
- Raise shark's jaw.
- Pay out on 1st work-wire so that chaser pendant socket is held in shark's jaw.
- Disconnect 1st work-wire from chaser pendant.
- Connect MODU crane line to chaser pendant.
- Lower shark's jaw to allow MODU crane to transfer chaser pendant back to MODU for storage.
- MODU winch now hauls in on anchor line to set locked-down Dennla to the required proving tension.
